Sequential Injection Analysis (SIA) is the recommended approach for online and remote site monitoring, where robustness and low reagent consumption is critical.  Sequential Injection is also ideal for biomolecule assays such as Enzymatic Assays, Bioligand Interaction Assays and Chromatography of Biomolecules.  FIAlab offers the following two SIA systems.   

Accelerated Liquid Chromatography  (or SIA with > 100 PSI pressure requirements) is a new approach to HPLC which uses flow programming and sol gel monoliths for accelerated and flexible separation assays

 

Nitrate/Nitrite Rapid Assay For FIA: Using a copperized cadmium column, this method performs rapid FIA assays for drinking, ground, surface, domestic and industrial waste waters. The method is tailored to measure nitrates at or below the USEPA MCL of 10 mg (N)/L.

Phosphate Assay for FIA: A low phosphate measurement method based on USEPA protocols. This method is suited for waste- water monitoring and environmental studies. 

Ammonium Assay for FIA: A stopped flow FIA assay for low ammonium concentrations using the well known salicylate method. This method is suitable for environmental monitoring where sensitivity at the USEP MCL levels of  =<10mg

Compatible Peripherals and Accessories

 

The FIAlab-2500 is compatible with many types of laboratory equipment.   The back panel output port consists of four software controllable TTL output lines, one digital-to-analog output line, two analog-to-digital input lines, and one 24 VDC contact close.   An optional low cost RS-232 module allows control of additional Cavro Syringe pumps, Valco Valves, AI Scientific AIM1250 Autosamplers, FIAlab Instruments SAMP3000 Autosamplers, National Instruments DAQ cards/boards, and even additional FIAlab-2500 units.
